Remploy Automotive, the Coventry based manufacturer and supplier to the automotive industry, has received a 100% Supplier Development Performance Rating (SDPR) from Land Rover.
Difficult to achieve, the award recognises Remploy Automotive's outstanding performance in the supply chain management of parts and suppliers around the world, and the assembling and delivering of aftermarket parts to the market leader.
Land Rover uses a comprehensive array of indicators in the SDPR assessment, including "On Time In Full" (OTIF) delivery, the quality of the product and accuracy of communications. Against all of these, Remploy Automotive recorded top marks in its supply of aftermarket assemblies including clutch, shock absorber and wheel bearing kits, various pumps, parking and air bag sensors. With an average account value in excess of £4m each year, Remploy Automotive is one of Land Rover's largest suppliers.
Remploy Automotive is part of the UK's largest employer of disabled people, and operates from a number of strategically located factories throughout the UK.
General manager Stuart Walder commented, "We've been a key supplier to Land Rover for more than five years now, and we all recognise just how difficult it is to achieve a 100% SDPR.
Maintaining an excellent relationship with our customers is vitally important to us, and this rating is proof that we're meeting Land Rover?s stringent standards."
With a turnover in excess of £55m, Remploy Automotive supplies several major manufacturers, including Ford, Premier Automotive Group, Honda and BMW Group. It has a number of business streams throughout the UK that specialise in original equipment manufacture (OEM), aftermarket products, special vehicles and automotive textiles.
