The GE Fanuc ‘Wolverine’ sunlight readable computer (403 wide x 349 high x 114mm deep) from ACAL Microsystems is HAZLOC approved and specified to operate from 0°C to 50°C.
Housed in a NEMA 4 environmentally sealed enclosure with corrosion resistance, this unit is ruggedised for use in virtually any environment. Wolverine is based on a Single Board Computer using an Intel® Pentium® M 1.6GHz processor and can be configured with up to 2 Gbytes of DDRAM.
Viewing enhancement filters reduce sunlight loading while sunlight readability of the 15" AMTFT LCD (1024 x 768) is achieved, with minimal temperature rise, using GE Faunc's passive enhancement. An Impact resistant Near Field Imaging (NFI) scratch resistant touch screen with anti glare is standard for reliable operation.
Two network options are available, including wireless Ethernet through PCMCIA expansion, and a filed removable hard disc (40Mb minimum) is standard. The built in UPS will provide up to 20 minutes operational time in the event of power loss.
