One of the oil companies in Denmark, Q8, is testing a drive in self-service info-kiosk - the so-called Quick store - at one of their service stations.

From a menu on the touch screen, drivers can choose between 40 different fast food pieces and soft drinks. The items can be picked up in the car when leaving the station.

Info KioskThe Info Kiosk has been delivered by First Impression, a small Danish kiosk supplier, who has specialized themselves in design and development of Info Kiosks.

"In our efforts to give the customers the best possible service, we are testing a new service where the busy drivers can buy soft drinks, sandwiches, coffee etc. directly at the pump,” says project leader Antonio Giorgio and continues: “with a few touches on the intuitive touch screen it is possible to order while you are filling the car. What about a nice cup of hot coffee and a croissant an early winter morning - or a nice cold soft drink on a hot summer day?"

The test period is 12 months, and if the service facility becomes a success, the concept will be implemented at a wider range of Q8’s service stations in Denmark.
